On rebooting I then tried to update to the latest Catalyst drivers using the Mobility Modder application. When I try to install drivers for the Radeon x graphic card I get the dreaded Black Screen and have to roll back to the standard windows graphic card driver. I at first tried to install wi7n drivers as normal but no luck, so ran them in compatibility mode xp SP2 and they installed fine.
Actually they stopped with vista drivers and those just happen to be compatible with 7.
